Tactical Deflector Control

[tactical] [security]

The Tactical Control Subsystem coordinates the ship's defensive shielding, particle arrays, and targeting computers. The primary defensive grid consists of a dual-layered magnetic deflector shield that deflects incoming micrometeoroids and high-energy radiation. This shield is modulated by three independent emitter arrays situated on the outer hull plates.

Targeting calculations are processed in real time by the auxiliary targeting computer, which utilizes multi-spectral sensor arrays to track orbital debris and potential hazards. In the event of sensor jamming or interface lag, the tactical console can be switched to local manual control, allowing the operator to adjust deflector modulation and shield frequency from the bridge.

Regular maintenance of the deflector emitter arrays is critical for defensive stability. Technicians must inspect the outer emitter housings for signs of thermal stress and verify that the magnetic coils are aligned with the reactor power distribution grid. Any detected frequency drift must be recalibrated before entering asteroid fields or areas of high solar radiation.
